…Is that where you ride the horses?

My boyfriend is talking about roller coasters. I try to remember everything he says, but it’s pretty difficult. I just copy and paste it to the file titled “For if I ever go on a gameshow” like when I learned that John Wilkes Boothe had a brother who was also a famous actor named Edwin Booth.

Anyway, I digress. Or maybe I regress. I think I just gressed, actually. Now, I should progress. Because Tinkerbell’s mind is a crazy machine.

My boyfriend has chosen our music for the moment. A very high moment, by the way. We’re listening to “60’s Psychadelic Rock” as he explained it, an iTunes station called Technicolor Web of Sound . The Monkees about 20 minutes ago gave it away. We’re listening to a song about Tinkerbell now.

Many times I find myself  wishing I had lived in the 60s. A time where living a life of sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll came without consequences. Before it meant starring in an episode of Intervention or a season of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew. Before everything in Rock ‘n Roll had been done already. I mean, this is the music that is the basis for the music we listen to today. It’s really frustrating when musicans today cite their influences and can never muster an artist from before 1990. If you want to truly appreciate modern music, you need to appreciate what came before it. You gain a much bigger appreciation of what sucks and what doesn’t.

Okay, so sidebar: I know that if you’re high you’re supposed to like “get” Sitar music, right? I’m sorry, I just hit the bowl less than a minute ago and as it’s playing right now, I still don’t get it.

I’m pretty sure Eric Clapton’s singing right now. It fits.
